Galactic Extra Dark by Big Drop is a malty milk stout packed with the aroma and flavors of cocoa and vanilla. Winner of 2020 World’s Best Flavored Beer (Low Strength), Big Drop Brewing Galactic Extra Dark is rich in flavor and has a thick texture. It is a great low-alcohol beer that looks gorgeous in the glass and has an excellent aroma and flavor.

Like all milk stouts, Galactic Extra Dark contains lactose that adds sweetness to it. It also contains cocoa nibs or cocoa bean that add the characteristic chocolaty flavor to the beer. The smell of malt is strong in the beer, with a residual aroma of cocoa and coffee. Overall, the beer has a pleasant bitterness and a pleasant flavor profile.

Tasting Notes:

Big Drop Brewing Galactic Extra Dark tastes like a chocolate-covered honeycomb, and the brew has a rich, decadent and unctuous flavor that is difficult to get over. The flavor of vanilla and nuts also persist, while the bitterness of the beer grows as a person drinks more. However, it is optimally balanced by the sweetness of the added lactose.
