Great Rum alternative

"I have been disappointed in most liquor alternatives, finding them too flat compared to the real thing. While I was never a big dark rum drinker, I decided to try this rum alternative. WOW! When I opened it to try it, I got a whiff and literally checked the label to be sure I hadn't accidently ordered something with liquor in it! I don't know how they get the smell to be so similar but it really smells like rum. The taste was also very similar (but again, I'm not typically big rum drinker). It has a zing to it that I absolutely crave and really makes my mouth feel like it's the real thing, but without the nasty hangover! I'm going to try more Ritual liquor alternatives, based on how good this one was."

Really good!

"This was the best of 2 brands of non-alcohol rums we tried. It's dark, rich, and complex. Not too sweet. (We were worried about the references to pineapple and banana listed in Ritual's flavor, but their presence is subtle and just right). Not too sharp or spicy either, like those god-awful "spiced rums" on the market. We usually add just a little lemon- or lime-flavored water, plus ice. Have also sometimes added instead of lemon-water a smidgeon of liquid agave nectar or honey, plus a lime and ice. Haven't tried regular mixed drinks with Ritual instead of rum, but we will. We're special fans of what they make in Guadeloupe and Martinique--"ti-punch." (Short for "petite.") Rum, demarara or brown sugar crystals, plus some fruit (like guava or peach or plum) marinated for 15 minutes or so. Ice too if it's summer. Alors! So, when we don't want to drink regular rum, we now have a new Ritual :) We heard about this company via our local newspaper, btw, in an article on new non-alcoholic drinks. We then searched for more info online."

Good taste

"My favorite drink has always been dark spiced rum and ginger ale. Health reasons keep me from drinking my beloved rum, but this definitely helps me get over it. It scratches that itch for a happy hour drink. Good work!"

Can't get past the price

"For fake run, it's pretty expensive. I can get more than twice as much of the real thing for the same price. Judging from the reviews for this and other fake rums, this seems to be the best of the lot. Would I recommend it? If you are an alcoholic or just want to cut down or eliminate alcohol but enjoy a rum & cola, you gotta do what you gotta do."

First experience with Rum

"It was a pleasant taste with Diet Coke (which I like) however, the run tasted like seasonings put together to mimic Rum. As an alcoholic it gives me something to drink when others imbibe!"
